Representing over 300 member organisations COBIS is a responsive organisation open to current and future opportunities. The association has developed markedly since its foundation, changing to meet the needs and aspirations of its growing global school membership base.
ECIS European Council of International Schools
ECIS, with its 387 member schools, is a professional membership organisation for International Schools worldwide. ECIS and is responsible for delivering best practice to schools.
Fobisia European Council of International Schools
FOBISIA is a membership association of British International Schools of quality in the South East Asia and East Asian region. The schools in the federation work together to provide a range of combined events for their students; professional development opportunities for their teachers; and collaborate on a range of matters that support the provision of a British-styled education in the region.
Formed in 1982, British Schools in the Middle East (BSME) provides a quality-assured network of schools helping Heads and Teachers share best practice and keep abreast of the latest educational developments. BSME has 79 member schools and runs its own Accreditation System, Annual Headteachers' Conferences, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme of over 100 courses per year and a range of inter school sports, music, arts and other events.
GEMS Education is an international K-12 education company that owns and operates high performing schools. It also offers consulting services to both public and private sectors. For over 50 years, GEMS Education has provided high quality education to hundreds of thousands of children around the world.
International and Private Schools Education Forum
IPSEF is a series of unique high level global conferences that combine keynote presentations, round tables, workshops and networking receptions to facilitate effective partnership building for senior figures from schools, investors, governments, and education suppliers. This unrivalled blend of delegates, all of whom are senior decision makers, provides a unique platform for anyone interested in establishing or developing a school, either in their home territory or overseas. With events taking place in London, Asia and the Middle East, IPSEF addresses the markets of most importance and potential. Whilst each covers the core themes outlined below each has a regional emphasis, or in the case of London a focus on a particular issue or geographical area. IPSEF delegates are responsible for operating, financing, managing, delivering, and supplying major international and private sector educational projects. In addition government representatives attend from divisions responsible for issues such as licensing and regulation.
The National Association of British Schools in Spain
The National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS) exists to defend members' interests to help maintain the quality of British education in Spain, and to support school development. All member schools are fully authorised, at least for a large section of the school and are subject to inspection. NABSS offers regular training to schools and hosts an annual conference. The Association has its own inspection system which is recognised by the British Council, and also forms part of the British Schools Overseas Inspections within Spain.
