Where do you want to teach today?
Prior Park School, Gibraltar. This is the third school to join the Prior Park Schools’ family which includes Prior Park College, Bath, Cricklade and The Paragon Junior School, Bath. Each school provides high achieving, co-educational, Christian education.
The new school is a thriving community operating on the former Sacred Heart campus in the Old Town, high above the noise of the city. We currently have pupils in years 8, 9 and 10 and will expand to include Years 11 in September 2017. Our 6th Form (years 12 and 13) will open in September 2018 for A Level provision.
The heart of PPS is the encouraging Catholic/Christian ethos which nurtures over 1,000 pupils aged between 3 and 18 years to become confident, capable, compassionate and independent minded young people.
At Prior Park School we believe that Learning is limitless. Our curriculum is broad and creative in flavour in Years 8 and 9. It not only allow us to expose children to the full range of subjects on offer at GCSE but also to study topics such as the History and Geography of Gibraltar and aspects of Spanish and Moorish culture that will not be examined formally in year 11.
Whilst it is inevitable that GCSE examinations at the end of KS4 should influence the shape of what is studied and in what proportions, we are very keen that this should also be a time when children still have opportunities to express themselves and develop their creativity in art, music and drama and also learn vital physical skills in PE.
We encourage pupils to think for themselves, form opinions and communicate well; to respect other points of views but to debate rigorously.
Prior Park School is Gibraltar’s only senior independent school, set high up in the Old Town of Gibraltar in a newly-refurbished and resourced building with beautiful views across the bay to Spain and Africa. There are currently 340 staff across PPS.
Our curriculum requires teachers with the following specialisms: Mathematics, English, Science, History, Geography, Modern Foreign Languages, Learning Support, Religious Studies, ICT, Art, Music, Drama and PE. Candidates who possess the ability to teach more than one of required subjects are highly desirable.
We are now inviting suitably qualified, innovative and inspirational professionals who can teach GCSE Core and Optional subjects, to apply for positions available from September 2017. We offer excellent working conditions with a competitive benefits package.
