Where do you want to teach today?
Established in 1985, St. George´s School, Cologne is very much a family school. We offer a safe, nurturing environment built upon mutual respect and a love of learning. We want all of our children to enjoy their time with us as we equip them with the skills they will need to live full and enriching lives.
From Nursery all the way up to Sixth Form, our children are deeply valued. Our small classes and generous pupil – teacher ratio of 8:1 facilitate our ability to unlock their potential and develop their talents. We foster independent mindedness, a creative spirit, aspiration and resilience. St. George´s children also develop a true sense of service to the community, with good manners and a quiet confidence.
Rooted in tradition yet innovative in our approach, we combine the very best practice with a fresh and modern dimension. All of our teachers are well qualified, experienced and passionate practitioners. We work tirelessly to ensure that each child is happy and successful.
Education is the development of the child as a whole - forming character, developing strengths, manners, skill and confidence, not only transferring knowledge.
The focus is positive, highlighting ability and talent, as opposed to focusing on limitations.
Learning is the product of investigation and experimentation. Through innovative teaching, we encourage independence and resilience, whilst developing a critical, questioning mind.
Every child deserves individual and personal attention to their academic and pastoral development.
Every effort is made to ensure that each child feels safe, happy, healthy and is able to achieve.
Teaching at St. George’s is an inspiring and rewarding experience. Small classes, motivated pupils and a supportive network of colleagues means that you can focus on the reasons that you entered the profession.
We are looking for dynamic teachers with experience of enabling children and young adults to achieve their potential. Our teachers share our vision and ethos for the school and have the right balance between experience, enthusiasm and a passion for teaching that inspires our pupils.
As part of a larger school group, teaching in any of our schools provides access to a wider network with opportunities for professional collaboration or career progression across the group.
